Budi95 Fuel Quota Stays at 200 Litres, Ministry Confirms Glitch

PUTRAJAYA: Recipients of the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) fuel subsidy programme can breathe easy – their monthly quota remains at 200 litres, according to the Finance Ministry. A recent technical error caused some users to see a reduced fuel limit, sparking concern amongst recipients.
The Ministry swiftly addressed the issue, assuring beneficiaries that the displayed reduction was due to a glitch and does not reflect any changes to the intended subsidy amount. The Budi Madani programme aims to provide financial assistance to eligible individuals to help offset the cost of fuel.
The Budi95 initiative is a targeted subsidy program designed to support lower-income Malaysians who rely on RON95 petrol. The 200-litre monthly allocation is intended to ease the financial burden of transportation costs for these individuals.
While the Ministry has confirmed the quota remains at 200 litres, they have not yet provided details on the nature of the technical error or the steps being taken to prevent similar issues from arising in the future. Recipients who experienced the lower limit display are advised to check their accounts regularly and contact the relevant authorities if they encounter any further discrepancies.
