ProPublica Projects Nominated for NABJ Excellence Awards

The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) has announced nominations for its annual Salute to Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding journalism that covers issues affecting Black communities. Five projects from ProPublica have been selected as nominees this year.
Among the nominated projects is “Deleting DEI,” which has been recognized in the digital media category. The Salute to Excellence Awards celebrate impactful reporting across various platforms and formats, highlighting the crucial role journalism plays in addressing social justice and equality.
The NABJ, founded in 1975, is the largest professional organization for Black journalists in the United States. Its mission is to promote and advance Black voices in media and to ensure fair and accurate representation of Black communities. The Salute to Excellence Awards are a key component of this mission, acknowledging journalistic achievements that contribute to a more informed public discourse.
ProPublica, a non-profit investigative journalism organization, is known for its in-depth reporting on a wide range of issues. The nomination of five of its projects underscores the organization's commitment to impactful and socially relevant journalism.
